Adult Defibrillation Electrode Pads
Philips
Heartstart FR2 Defibrillation Electrode Pads (model number DP2)
are general purpose pads for use with Philips (and Laerdal)
Heartstart FR2 and FR2+ AEDs, as well as with older Forerunner
AEDs. They replace the electrode pads you originally received
with your Philips Heartstart FR2 AED. We have them at a great
price, too since you'll actually receive 2 pairs of electrode
pads, not just one pair--thats enough for 2 patients! These
electrode pads are recommended for use on patients over the age
of 8 or above 55 lbs. (25 kg.) in body weight. For children
under 8 years of age or less than 55 lbs., we suggest using the
Philips Heartstart FR2 Infant/Child Reduced Energy Defibrillator
Pads (model number M3870A).
These
electrodes are designed primarily for use with Philips
Heartstart AEDs with packaging and instructions optimized for
infrequent users. But they're suitable for both BLS and ACLS
trained responders. They are disposable and self-adhesive with
an active surface area of 100 square centimeters. Each pair of
Philips Heartstart DP2 electrode pads are provided in a sealed
package with an integrated 48 inch long cable with connector. |

Infant/Child Defibrillation Electrode Pads
These Philips Infant/Child
Reduced Energy Defibrillator Electrode Pads are for use with Philips
Hearstart FR2+ AEDs (models M3860A and M3861A) or Laerdal Hearstart FR2
series AEDs (models M3840A and M3841A). These are fully functioning AED
electrode pads for use on children up to 8 years of age or up to 55 lbs. (25
kg.) in body weight. When used, these electrode pads reduce the energy level
administered to the patient from the adult dose of 150 joules to a child
dose of 50 joules. They are single-use and disposable. |

ECG Option
Philips Heartstart FR2+ AED with
ECG display option has extra accessories available for it that
make it more than just an emergency use device. This is just one
of them! Your FR2+ AED can be used by medical professionals for
general patient monitoring where a full manual monitor and
defibrillator might be impractical. To monitor the ECG of
patients, use this Philips FR2+ ECG Assessment Module (part
number M3873A). It provides a nondiagnostic ECG display of the
patient's heart rhythm for attended patient monitoring. It is
intended for use on a conscious or breathing patient regardless
of their age. It monitors patients through the use of a 3-lead
cable (marked in the standard black, red and white) and displays
the ECG in Lead II as well as the patient's heart rate.
This is Important! The Philips
Heartstart FR2+ ECG Assessment Module can only be used with the
Philips Heartstart FR2+ AED (model number M3860A) or the Laerdal
Heartstart FR2+ AED (model number M3840). FR2+ models without an
ECG display (models M3861A or M3841A) are not compatible with
the ECG Assessment Module. Any Philips FR2+ AED shipped prior to
11/12/01 will require a software upgrade to use the ECG
Assessment Module. If you're looking to buy a Philips Heartstart
FR2+ AED there's no need to worry...the AED Superstore only
sells the latest models compatible with this accessory!
The Module is reusable and
latex-free. It consists of a device connector that plugs into
the connector socket of the FR2+, a trunk cable terminating in a
molded yoke, and three lead wires permanently attached to the
yoke. Each lead wire connects to a standard snap style
disposable electrode. Three disposable electrodes are included. |

FR2+Data
Card & Tray
Often it's
beneficial for the patient if you can retrieve data from an AED that was
just used in a rescue. The Emergency Room Physician may find useful such
information as the patient's ECG during the entire event, the number of
shocks administered and when CPR was started among other things. The only
way to retrieve this data is through the use of a Philips Heartstart FR2+
AED Data Card and Tray
The 16 mb data card holds approximately 8
hours of incident and ECG information, or one hour with voice recording. A
flash data card reader (M3524A) enables data transfer from the card to a
personal computer for use with Philips HeartStart Event Review data
management software. |
