The HeartStart FRx AED is designed to be the easiest defibrillator on the market.  It probably has the clearest verbal advice prompts thus far developed.  This unit gives prompts to carry the trained yet still very nervous life saver right through the whole resuscitation procedure, from clearing airways, to shocking the patient.  Unlike all of the other defibrillators the HeartStart FRX AED goes beyond JUST giving the first aider prompts for the defibrillation procedure.

The HeartStart FRx Defibrillator's biphasic waveform delivers a highly effective defibrillation shock that is also gentle to the heart. • SMART Analysis, a proven Philips technology for heart rhythm assessment, ensures that the FRx Defibrillator only shocks when it should. SMART Analysis automatically assesses the victim's heart rhythm and is designed not to deliver a shock unless the rhythm is determined to be shockable - even if the shock button is pressed. What's more, SMART Pads II enable the FRx to keep pace with the responder by adjusting to their actions.

Adult Defibrillation Electrode Pads

Defibrillation Electrodes for the HeartStart FRx AED. They're packaged in a plastic case which fits into the FRx semi-rigid carry case. Single use and disposable, order an extra set to keep your FRx AED in service after use.

Philips Infant/Child FRx Key

This is the secret that makes the Philips Heartstart FRx AED so cost effective to own. Other AEDs use pediatric electrode pads for use on children. It means you'll have to regularly replace them just like adult electrodes pads. The FRx uses a "key" that when inserted into the device, converts the FRx into a pediatric defibrillator.

The key can be used over and over again with no need to replace it. Compare that to the cost of replacing pediatric electrode pads on other AEDs and you'll experience the savings. The Heartstart FRx Smart Pads II are used for all emergencies.

Semi-Rigid Carrying Case

The Carry Case for the Philips FRx AED  has enough room for a Spare Battery, Spare Electrodes, Infant/Child Key. Self-check indicator can been seen though clear window without having to remove AED from carry case. This case is coated for easy wipe-off cleaning.

LifePak Connector

HeartStart Adult FRx/FR2/FR2+ AED Defibrillator Electrode Pads may also be used with defibrillators from other manufacturers, using reusable Philips HeartStart Adapters, whether the other defibrillators are biphasic or monophasic, manual or automated.

This adapter allows ALS caregivers to connect your Philips electrode pads (model DP2, DP6, M3713A, M3716A, M3718A & 989803139261) to their manual defibrillator, including the LifePak 9, LifePak 10C, LifePak 11, LifePak 12, LifePak 20 and LifePak 50.

This adapter cannot be used with FRx Infant/Child Reduced-Energy Defibrillator key or any electrode pads labelled for use with earlier Laerdal AEDs

Zoll Connector

HeartStart Adult FRx/FR2/FR2+ AED Defibrillator Electrode Pads may also be used with defibrillators from other manufacturers, using reusable Philips HeartStart Adapters, whether the other defibrillators are biphasic or monophasic, manual or automated.

This adapter allows ALS caregivers to connect your Philips electrode pads (model DP2, DP6, M3713A, M3716A, M3718A & 989803139261) to their manual defibrillator, including the Zoll 1200, 1400, 1600, M Basic, M ACLS Plus, M Universal and M Universal

This adapter cannot be used with FR2 Infant/Child Reduced-Energy Defibrillator Electrode key or any electrode pads labelled for use with earlier Laerdal AEDs

Defibrillation Training Pads

Here's an alternative to buying a stand-alone trainer. Connect these training pads to your working Philips FRx AED to convert it to a training device. When you're finished, disconnect the Training Pads, replace them with working adult pads, and your Philips FRx is again ready for use.
