Components

This is the standard Res-Q-Vac with an Adult Capture Replacement Set.

It is made up of:

• Handle/Pump.
• Retainer Assembly.
• Capture Jar and Lid.
• Soft Yankauer Catheter.

Paediatric Adapter

Res-Q-Vac  adapts to paediatric aspiration very easily. 

Simply install the optional blue spigot adapter and slide in a flexible non-Y catheter.  This allows small bore flexible catheters to be used.     

A non-Y catheter is required as the operator uses one hand to insert and remove the catheter and the other hand to activate the pump when aspiration is required.  Just like a Y-catheter suction can be stopped very easily.....just don't pump!  Its that simple!  The small bore non-Y catheters all have an atraumatic tip which prevents adhesion to the mucous membranes in almost all circumstances.    If adhesion was to occur the canister has a vacuum release plug on the lid, or just disconnect the catheter or the capture set from the pump.  Very simple and very easy to operate!

Full Stop Protection filter

Repro-Med Systems' patented Full Stop Protection filter prevents all contamination (viral & bacterial), fluids or pathogens, from exiting the canister and contaminating the health professional or surrounding area. With the Full Stop Protection filter, fluids and pathogens can get into the bottle, but only clean air gets out.  The Full Stop Protection filter eliminates overflow, and eliminates any contamination from entering the pump handle or running onto the user. 

RES-Q-VAC's famous one handed operation is now enhanced with a new white light LED, mounts directly on the pump for easy visibility into the throat under the most chanllenging conditions.  The detachable light is fully flexible, can be move into any position for maximum targeted illumination and can also attach to a hat or clothing.

The Adult Capture replacement set is a fully disposable kit designed to reduce the need for cleaning and the potential for cross contamination.  After using the Res-Q-Vac, the collection bottle and suction catheter are thrown out in an infectious waste system and a replacement unit (Adult Capture Replacement Set) is reattached, allowing the unit to be rapidly ready for re-use.
