Available in 6 sizes, the Stifneck Cervical collar was the first one piece rigid collar developed specifically for prehospital use and today is the most popular collar in the world. When applied correctly, the collar provides over 50% of immobilization to the cervical spine. It is still the only collar of it’s type on the market that does not interfere with airway management.

The adjustable Stifneck. Select - Collar is actually four adult extrication collars in one. It adjusts to four adult sizes: Tall, Regular, Short, and No-Neck. The sizing method is fast and easy with indicator ovals and locking tab. How-to instructional graphics are molded into the collar to reinforce training. The sizing versatility helps rescuers have the appropriate collar on hand to fit the patient and reduces inventory and storage space requirements. Designed for pre-hospital care, the Stifneck Select Collar features a large tracheal opening to permit easy access for pulse checks and advanced airway procedures. The rear panel opening allows C-spine palpation. The collar stores flat to save space.

The WIZLOC cervical extrication collar is the best of the multi size collars on the market. The universal design of the WIZLOC provides the user, a collar capable of fitting the vast majority of patients, 5th through 95th percentile. Collar application is accurate and fast regardless of patient position. The unique mandibular support allows you to virtually custom fit the WIZLOC  to each patient. A simple adjustment to the occipital support accommodates the taller, shorter and wider ends of the sizing spectrum.

NIEJ - NEANN IMMOBILISATION & EXTRICATION JACKET

The NEANN Immobilisation & Extrication Jacket (NIEJ) is cervical splint and extrication device is the standard extrication jacket in the Queensland and NSW Ambulance Services replacing the aging and outdated KED.  Designed and manufactured by RAPP Australia Pty Ltd,  the NIEJ combines many of the best features of current extrication jackets on the market and removes many of the common complaints of users. Development of the design involved using the latest research in spinal management to provide an extremely effective and easy to apply cervical splint/extrication device. A large range of improvements have been made over the original extrication jackets.

Designed and made in Australia, the new NEANN LSB comes after extensive field testing which shows this new board has many significant advantages over other curved boards on the market in almost every aspect. 

New features are many, but include additional length (1830 mm for the standard version or  2000 mm for the sports version), removal of all metal components, uniquely modified 25º curve for better patient comfort, improved handhold comfort and positions, updated attachment points for straps, ability for the board to properly be secured to the ambulance stretcher. It is without doubt one of the most versatile devices on an Ambulance, able to be used as a pat-slid, lifting frame, pelvic or extremity splint, patient protection, full spine immobiliser, an extrication device in areas of vehicle, height and other rescue situations.

NEANN Spider Straps

The NEANN Spider Strapping system provides an improved system of immobilisation by being the only Spider straps on the market to provide the 'Figure Of Eight' ankle strap to prevent the patient from sliding down the Long Spine Board or Scoop Stretcher.  Strap adjustments have also been modified to ensure improved immobilisation by ensuring straps can be placed over bony prominences.

The addition of reflective tape on the straps significantly improves safety at night.

The new NEANN VIM (Vacuum Immobilisation Mattress) is the most advanced vacuum mattress on the market today and has been designed to meet the latest in spinal immobilisation requirements.  It's unique shape is the only vacuum mattress on the market that allows access to the patients arms.

The external cover of the VIM is made of a heavy duty, specialised and uniquely manufactured pure reinforced double coated Silik Elastomer™.  This material provides a significant improvement over PVC, the standard material used by other Vacuum Mattresses.  Improvements of Silik Elastomer™ include:

· 10-15 times more expansive

· Significantly improved abrasion, puncture and tear resistance

· 100% airtight in comparison to the slow leaking PVC materials

The internal beads are of a newly developed material, offering significant improvements over the standard Styrofoam used in other Vacuum Mattresses including:

· Higher density material preventing collapsing of beads

· Significantly improved X-ray translucency  

The new patented inner lining system provides a 21 multi-chamber configuration preventing the beads from moving around and clumping in comparison to other Vacuum Mattresses on the market.

The VACMAT provides excellent comfort . Full of tiny  beads, the mattress can be moulded to conform to the patients position whether lying or sitting, and can be applied with minimal movement. When ready to immobilise, the air is simply pumped out & the VACMAT becomes extremely rigid.
